Sam Carson:
Southern Exposure

Sam Carson’s art is unique within the world of men’s photography. The allure of his photos is found in the hesitant intimacy with which he approaches his ur-American lads. Carson is not worried about gay fantasies, he is only really interested in the model before him. His continuing success speaks for itself and the unmistakable charm of his works leaves no one cold.

After “First Exposure”, “White Boys” and “L.A. Boys”, here comes the latest and greatest from Sam Carson. Carson continues in his unique style with this fourth book of photography, presenting his men at ease and with an extremely pleasant and seductive reserve. The photographer hates complicated staging, thus leaving enough room for quiet erotic moods to unfold. Sam Carson presents unknown faces and fresh, youthful bodies over this 80-page work.

Sam Carson, well-known architect from California, is an old hand in the photography business and has been taking pictures of young amateur models for many years now. He lives in Los Angeles and with his many books has a solid standing in the world of men’s photography.

Jack Slomovits:
Sex in the West Village NYC

The New York photographer Jack Slomovits is a master of spontaneous photography. The limits of a studio or completely organised photoshoots were never his thing. He just lets the lads loose on one another without a script. The results are candid, honest and quite arousing scenes in crisp black and white.

Seldom has a photographer created such an authentic work as Jack Slomovits has in this book. From the middle of the sexual action the artist captures us from the first photos onward. Slomovits’ semi-documentary style leaves little to the imagination; high-contrast detailed photos are interspersed with portraits in a snapshot aesthetic. His protagonists are the lads of the West Village in New York, lads of impressive naivety and tantalizing innocence. A fast book from a fast city. Sexy!

Jack Slomovits was born in Miami, FL in 1969 and grew up in Los Angeles. He held his first camera at the age of six and starting winning awards for his photography when he was still in high school. In 1991 he started photographic studies in New York and since then has countless exhibitions and publications that have gained him international acclaim.
